In 2014 Olha Pryymak has gone on a residency in rural Latvia where she began to use the tradition of herbalism as a metaphor for healing and change. Main themes explored in this work are emotional trauma, ritual and transformation expressed through film stills and medicinal herbs. The title of her current body of work Symptoms and Remedies represents the emotional conditions and the herbs that are claimed to possess the healing powers to alleviate them. The work has been exhibited at the Florence Trust in 2016, Herrick Gallery and the Great Britain campaign.
